First Christmas tree.

Today we went on a ride and came back with a tree. I don't know what it is for but we have it in the house now. It is kind of like we brought the outdoors inside with is. My Mom and Dad made a big deal about it. They were calling it a "Christmas" tree. It looks like a plain old tree to me and Nigella.

We watched my Dad cut it down. At first we didn't know what he was doing under the tree. About that time we could see this saw moving back and forth and thought it was attacking our Dad so we were barking for him to run away. We did not know it was him doing the cutting. Even when Mom said it was alright we still did not want it getting our Dad.

After that we put the tree in the back of the truck and went to get it wrapped. Now that is another thing we did not understand. Why on earth would you wrap a tree? And just before they wrapped it, they shook it really hard. I guess to get the birds out before they wrapped it.

Now we have this tree in our living room just standing there. Mom says there will be gifts under it tomorrow. I hope some of them are for me. I will sniff them all and let you know which ones are mine.

You better keep eating because I am catching up.

Well you had better keep eating brother. I am in my growth spurt and am taking advantage of it.

My brother is right I am looking forward to seeing my Dad. I have him so wrapped around my paw. He even lets me sleep on his lap after a long day of play. He has never let any puppy do that.

He told mom he created a "Puppy Zone" in the house. He partitioned off part of the kitchen and breakfast room just for us to play. I can't wait to test the partitions. If I know my Dad he installed it so we can't knock it down. We shall see. I am getting bigger and can blame my slightly heavier brother.

When does is stop?

When does this snow thing stop? In Penn it snows a bunch but not like this place. I have been here for a few weeks and it has snowed almost everyday. Don't get me wrong, I like the snow but I was not prepared for this.

No wonder my sister gets cold. It is below zero some mornings and I even want to get back inside ASAP. But we will see some grass soon when we take a trip south. All of us are spending Christmas with Dad. I am sure my sister will be glad to see him. We will be able to do normal walks on real sidewalks. Our sidewalks are down here somewhere under this snow.

My sister is almost as tall as I am now. She has grown like a weed and I have having a harder time pushing her around. But I still have the weight advantage.

I survived a week.

Well it has been a week with my new sister and I have survived. I am getting along with her great. She is my biggest little pal. We even share the food and water bowls. When it comes to the toys we share them also. I will be playing with one and she will play with another. Sometimes we want to play with the same toy and then that is where I have to use my extra size to get it. Well that worked at first but she seems to be getting better at fending me off.

There is this other thing that my new Mom and Dad let me do. It is sleep on the BIG bed. I have never slept on a BIG bed. It is great. We all can snore together.

Oh yea, another thing that is fun to do is bait my little sister to do something. She has to do everything I do so I pretend to like something then let her have it so I can get what I want. I learned this from my 80 pound 11 year old grandpa. We both lived in the same house in Pennsylvania. I guess I was the little one there. Now I am the big dog.
